My passion is merging photos, fabric, and thread to create impressionistic scenes and designs. Growing up on Lake Michigan and now living in Colorado, I am intrigued by the beautiful colors and contrasts in nature’s landscape. I love to experiment with photos and fine fabrics, using the patterns, colors, and textures to design unique renderings. Utilizing different quilting methods, including strip quilts, applique, and photo transfers, my process often leads me into some unusual, but pleasing outcomes. Sometimes the simple act of transferring an image to cloth leaves an impression or ghost image, which can be accentuated with color and depth from stitching, thereby creating a unique portrayal of nature. I am currently living in Colorado with my husband and family. Please feel free to email with any questions or comments about my work. You may visit my Etsy shop too.
